Today, the New York State Sheriffs' Institute held the 17th Annual Statewide Conference on Victim Notification.

Sheriff’s Office members, Local Law Enforcement, Child Protective Services, Probation, and Victim Advocates from across New York State were in attendance. Topics covered included New York State Sheriffs' Institute Victim Notification Services Inmate Release Program (VINE), Order of Protection Notification, Human Trafficking, and a mock NYS Domestic Violence Fatality Review.

This training event coincides with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
