
In 2019 the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Team (U.A.S.T.) was created with five members of the Sheriff's Office, licensed by Federal Aviation Administration as Unmanned Aircraft System Pilots. The purpose of them team is to utilize unmanned aircraft technology to facilitate safer, more efficient and improved public safety services. The program is regulated by the FAA.
