According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on May 7th, 2024, at approximately 2:18 P.M., Patrol Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Happy Valley Road and Senn Road in the Town of Verona, for a report of a property damage motor vehicle accident with a vehicle roll-over.

At the completion of the Patrol Deputies' investigation into the accident scene, it was determined that, Gabrielle Clark (27 years of age) of Verona New York, operating a 2014 gray in color Toyota Corolla, was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Senn Road and Happy Valley Road and began to start in traffic from a stopped position entering Happy Valley Road. At the same time, Frank Carnevale (42 years of age) of Verona New York, operating a 2008 black, Ford F350, towing a utility trailer containing a stump-grinder, was traveling in a Westerly direction on Happy Valley Road.

Subsequently, a right angle collision occurred causing Carnevale’s vehicle and trailer to overturn onto its roof on the Southern side of the roadway in a farm field where the vehicle came to rest. Clark’s vehicle came to rest in the intersection of Senn Road and Happy Valley Road on Happy Valley Road.

Carnevale was treated on scene by members of AmCare Volunteer Ambulance Company and transported to Wynn Hospital for further care with complaints of head, neck, and back pain all considered non-life threatening. Clark was evaluated on scene by AmCare Volunteer Ambulance Company where she declined further treatment.

Clark was issued a universal traffic summons for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign returnable to Verona Town Court at a later date.

Patrol Deputies were assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Rome New London Volunteer Fire Department, AmCare Volunteer Ambulance Company, Rocker’s Towing Service, and Carl’s Towing Service.
