Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, who is the director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, announces the arrest of Craig Pratt, age 34, of Oneida County. Pratt, who is a Level 1 sex offender, was arrested by OCSO Sgt. M. Bolton on 3/19/23, for failing to meet his obligations as a registered sex offender under the Sex Offender Registry Act (SORA). Under SORA, registered sex offenders are required to notify the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services of any change of address no later than ten calendar days after said change of address. Upon the conclusion of the investigation, it was determined that Pratt had moved from his previously registered address within Oneida County, to a new address in Oneida County, without reporting this change of address within the required time frame. As a result, Pratt was arrested and charged with one count of Failure to Register Change of Address, which is a Class E Felony, under the NYS Corrections Law. Pratt was arraigned in Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Court on 3/19/24 and is currently being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
